Irvington's Good to Grow is now composting for more than forty families. This means at least forty beautifully branded buckets, plus James and Josh, need to fit in the back of the pickup. With some help, Luke designed and created truck bed rails to keep things contained.

Irvington Tour of Homes
This year we opened up our home for the 2017 Irvington Tour of Homes. We didn't know what to expect, but it turned out great. Hundreds of people came through our house and yard in one day, observing architecture, projects, and lifestyle. With the help of Luke's brother, Andy, and his son, James, we hosted, answered all types of questions, and received lots of positive feedback. Thanks to our neighbor, Barb, for getting us involved.

A Call to Beauty
A local girl scout troupe recently came by to learn about sustainable urban farming. They particularly liked playing with the chickens. We sent them on their way with sample bags of compost!

Compost Harvest
Its spring, and our plants are hungry! Soon, Good to Grow compost will be delivered to homes all over Irvington, fueling the neighborhood's spectacular blooms. This is the perfect way for members to see the results of our combined efforts.

Aquaponic hoop house blues
Luke designed a hoop-style greenhouse to cover the perch-stocked aquaponic system. After a night of high winds, we found the hoop house blown to bits. It will be remade with stronger PVC.
